I’m a horticulturist and run a small garden maintenance and soft landscaping business, Fawlty Flowers, which has been the primary income for my family for about 15 years. Like many small businesses I learnt my trade and decided I would, therefore, be good at running a business.

I had plenty of work, my clients loved the work I did, I was involved in Better Homes and Gardens TV and Magazine, and, from that point of view, was very successful. I now know the business’s financial position, and plans are made based upon factual evidence instead of hopeful guesswork.
