Sridaran holds a doctorate in Australian tax law from Macquarie University, and a master of taxation degree from the University of New South Wales. For nearly three years (until the beginning of 2010), Sridaran was a full-time academic at Macquarie University, where he taught final-year undergraduate students Australian tax law, corporations law, and business law. During that time, latterly he served as the joint-convener of the Australian tax law course. Before his immigration to Australia, Sridaran worked in senior positions (including as head of a national tax practice) for a legacy firm of PwC, and Ernst & Young in four countries: Sri Lanka, Singapore, Papua New Guinea, and New Zealand. Sridaran serves Australian Accountants in the capacity of a senior consultant.
